CHINA'S US dollar USD25 billion paint and coatings industry remains in sound health, buoyed by auto and home sales plus infrastructure programmes, all fuelled by a government-orchestrated lending spree. Data published by the Chinese Chemical Society shows China paints and coatings growing an average 10% a year since 2000. Yet the industry's future growth will depend as much on China's volatile housing market and the wind-down of the country's massive stimulus spending as on the country's 12th Five Year plan (which will run from 2011 to 2016). ...
