EP BACKS EU PUBLIC HEALTH PLAN

BY KEITH NUTHALL THE EUROPEAN Parliament had approved a budget of Euro 365 million for European Union (EU) actions promoting public health from this year until December 2013. Under a compromise deal with EU ministers, the parliament has ensured the money will fund reducing health inequalities across the EU, promoting cross-border care and alternative medicine, as well as fighting major diseases.
