FAA BOSS OUTLINES NEXTGEN DEVELOPMENTS

THE ACTING administrator of the USA's Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has released details of how his organisation is pushing ahead with its NextGen air traffic management improvement programme. Michael Huerta told the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) conference in New Orleans (on Oct 22) that work to introduce 'Metroplex' satellite-based navigation in Florida airports started in September. And he added that the FAA was close to "designing and implementing NextGen Metroplex procedures in Washington DC". ...
