GASEP TIMELINES SHOULD BE REVIEWED, SUGGESTS SENIOR ICAO OFFICIAL

THE MIDDLE East regional director of the International Civil Aviation Authority (ICAO) has called for a rethink of how the roll-out of the 2017 ICAO Global Aviation Security Plan (GASeP), as member states struggle to meet initial 2020 deadlines for security improvements. Mohamed Khalifa Rahma said: “The timelines are very short for some countries given…the resources. We need to think about the timelines.”
