NEW EU RULES FOR ‘ORGANIC WINE’ APPROVED

ORGANIC wine producers in the European Union (EU) can to use the term "organic wine" on labels starting from this year's harvest, because of new EU rules agreed today by the EU Standing Committee on Organic Farming (SCOF).
Wine has not been fully covered by EU regulations on organic farming standards. Rules covered ecolabels for "wine made from organic grapes", but not the whole production process.
