THE SECURITY of nuclear power installations may be a priority in terrorism-fearing rich countries, but not in poorer states, with many other problems. But it is equally important of course: nuclear accidents, sabotage and terror attacks are devastating wherever they occur. As a result, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has welcomed the contribution of around Euro 7 million from the European Union (EU) to help it improve the security of nuclear plants and radioactive materials in 35 developing countries, including 27 African states. ...
