TALISMAN Energy (UK) Ltd has announced first oil from the Hannay field located in the central North Sea, about 13.5 kilometres northwest of its Buchan Alpha facility. The field is currently producing 15,000 bbls/d from a single well. With estimated reserves of approximately 10 mmbbls and a life expectancy of eight years, the Hannay field has been developed with a single horizontal subsea well tied back to Buchan, where the oil will be processed using existing facilities.
