BY MARK ROWEGOVERNMENT authorities in Thailand are to draw up a series of incentives to attract investor support for crop-based ethanol production. The Thai National Energy Policy Office (Nepo) is to examine the details of developing ethanol-blended fuels as an alternative to petrol and diesel oil. About 25 private investors, most of them with the capacity to produce at least 100,000 litres a day of ethanol, have shown interest in partnering the ministry in producing ethanol-blended automotive fuel.
